In terms of your Helix registration, the biological sex has more to do with DNA sequencing than gender identity. If a person was born a male then they have X and Y sex chromosomes. If the person was born a female, they have 2 X sex chromosomes.
The selection made for biological sex will affect the final stages of sequencing, so please make sure the selection matches the biological sex of the person when they were born.
Selecting the option that does not match your biological sex will cause a sample to fail our sequencing process.
